Can't I Just Brush My Tongue?
Many attempt to care for their tongue by brushing it with their toothbrush. This mostly moves the bacteria and other pathogens on the tongue around and does little as far as removal. If the same toothbrush is used to brush the teeth, it could potentially be spreading bacteria that causes additional issues. This is why a tongue scraper should be used. However, simply using a tongue scraper or tongue cleaning toothbrush will not be enough to care for the whole tongue.
